All services will be provided for free. Move to Heal wants all its services to be attainable by anyone in recovery.

How it benefits you:

Proper nutrition is a foundation of good health. It can be especially important during recovery to help keep blood sugars stable and reduce cravings, to improve and stabilize mood, and to replenish nutritional deficiencies that may have occurred during substance use.

Our mission is to help individuals recognize the importance of nutrition during recovery, develop and maintain a healthy relationship with food, and to feel empowered with the skills and knowledge to make positive nutrition choices.

HOW WE WORK

We do this to help establish routine and importance.

We offer 1:1 nutrition coaching with our nutrition coach in order to address individual concerns regarding food or nutrition.

For those that like to cook, we have carefully curated recipes that nourish and fuel your body properly.

Move to Heal believes that exercise, commitment, and repetition will help create healthy habits, mindfulness and accountability for anyone struggling with their challenge. Move to Heal helps members use physical activity and wellness to help rediscover their identities.

Research shows that individuals who face mental health and/or substance abuse disorders are far more at risk for physical health concerns than the general population. We want to help.

All of our fitness classes are open to all levels. The programming is designed to be safe yet effective no matter where you are at in your recovery and fitness journey.

We incorporate a combination of CrossFit movements to help develop overall strength and conditioning.

An overview of what you can expect.

Counseling services will be provided up to twice monthly by a licensed therapist.

Counseling sessions will be one-on-one and 50 minutes in length.

Move To Heal believes that continued mental health counseling will aid in working on life problems outside of the meetings in a more intimate environment.

What you can expect:

Move to Heal will host recovery meetings at its affiliate gyms (see schedule for times). These meetings will be one hour in duration and are designed to be for anyone struggling with any type of life trauma. This includes but is not limited to alcohol and drug addiction, eating disorders, PTSD, anxiety, depression, abuse or any other type of life trauma. The meetings will typically but not always take place following a recovery fitness class which is also open to all suffering from any of the above.

Recovery meetings will be in a group setting and will typically follow a recovery fitness class.

Meetings will be lead by a chairperson and will be topic-based discussion meetings, so all can participate.

Meetings will run for one hour at our partner facilities.
